While I consider myself to be
a fiction writer, I also enjoy creative nonfiction. Many of the same themes that I explore in fiction appear in my creative nonfiction.

"La Belle" -
A journalistic essay about foie gras, a delicacy
produced by enlarging the liver of a duck through force-feeding.
The essay chronicles my role in the undercover investigation
of the foie gras producer La Belle.
